Executive Team
William J. Febbo
Chief Executive Officer
Mr. Febbo is responsible for developing and overseeing the overall strategic direction of MedPanel. Bringing more than 15 years experience in operations, sales, finance and manufacturing to the leadership of MedPanel, Mr. Febbo has worked for three Fortune 500 companies, specializing in business development, merger and acquisition and global technology transfer in Europe, Central Asia and South America. He was also instrumental in completing mergers and acquisitions in multiple industries, as well as bringing several start-ups to profitability. Currently, Mr. Febbo is a Director of MCF and also serves as Treasurer on the board of the United Nations of Greater Boston. He received his B.S. in international studies with a focus on economics and Spanish from Dickinson College.
Howard Brick
Chief Operations Officer
Mr. Brick is responsible for all research and operations at MedPanel. Prior to joining MedPanel, Mr. Brick spent five years at Case Shiller Weiss. While there, he served as Vice President of Business Development, Finance & Legal Affairs and was a member of the company's senior management team. Mr. Brick played a leadership role in Case Shiller Weiss' sale of itself to Fiserv, an S&P 500 company, in 2002. Prior to joining Case Shiller Weiss, Mr. Brick practiced law in Boston for 12 years, both in private practice and as an Assistant Attorney General with the Massachusetts Attorney General's Office. Mr. Brick holds a B.A. degree from Dartmouth College and received his Juris Doctor from Columbia University School of Law.
Scott Packard
Senior Vice President, Research
Scott D. Packard oversees quantitative product development and all quantitative research projects for MedPanel. Prior to joining the company, Mr. Packard served as a Director at the Advisory Board Company in Washington, DC. While with the Advisory Board, he authored syndicated research studies and helped launch and manage a clinical technology evaluation program. Mr. Packard holds his doctorate from the Harvard-MIT Division of Health Sciences and Technology, a joint program between MIT and Harvard Medical School, following an undergraduate degree in physics from Cornell University.
Janet Bernard
Senior Vice President, Community Development
Janet Bernard has more than 20 years experience building and managing expert networks. At MedPanel Janet has developed a community of more than 300,000 physicians, medical professionals, CleanTech experts, telecommunications and other business executives worldwide and oversees the expert recruitment team. Before joining MedPanel, Ms. Bernard was a founding partner of Equinox Group, where she managed recruitment efforts for global market research projects. Prior to that, Ms. Bernard was Director of Research Services for (Arthur D. Little) Decision Resources, Inc. She received her B.A. from Regis College.
Frank Dolan
Senior Vice President, Business Development
Mr. Dolan is a tenured healthcare industry executive of nearly 15 years. He has leadership experience in sales, marketing, training, managed care, and operations having worked for Parke-Davis, Takeda, Kos, and, most recently, Amylin. Mr. Dolan has an impressive performance record as a key leader during product launches, sales force resizing, co-promotions, and commercial compliance efforts. From managing sales forces to creating marketing campaigns, he offers MedPanel and its client's relevant experience, perspective, and strategic insight. In addition to his biopharmaceutical accomplishments, Mr. Dolan has consulted with several Fortune 100 leadership teams on organizational development. He received a BSBA in Leadership Management from Western New England College.
John Bojanowski
Executive in Residence
John Bojanowski has more than 25 years experience in sales, marketing and operational experience with the last 18 years in the medical device business focused on innovative, technology-driven products. Most recently, John was the founder and CEO of Motus Medical, a privately held company located in Cambridge that developed 3D wireless motion capture technology with applications in physical therapy, rehabilitation, and patient monitoring. The technology was developed and supported by a team of MIT trained engineers and scientists.
Prior to Motus Medical, John served as Executive Vice President of Sales and Marketing for Scandius BioMedical, a privately held, venture backed start-up. During his time at Scandius, John was responsible for creating the sales and marketing strategy and driving surgeon adoption of its' sports medicine products. Along with the CEO of Scandius, John led the successful exit of the business through an acquisition by medical device giant Covidien.
Prior to Scandius BioMedical, John was Vice President of US Sales for Smith & Nephew Endoscopy, the market leader of innovative sports medicine devices. John began his career in medical devices with US Surgical, the leader of minimally invasive surgical instrumentation. He served in a variety of sales and management positions ultimately as Vice President of Corporate Sales after Tyco Healthcare acquired US Surgical.
John received his degree in Business from Virginia Tech.
