James Lang

Director and Chairman

Jim Lang is an accomplished senior executive with line and consulting leadership experience at the CEO and Board level. He has a demonstrated track record of rapid and dramatic improvement in the equity value of companies led or advised. Jim was most recently the President and Chief Operating Officer of Cambridge Energy Research Associates (CERA). In his 2 year tenure there, he doubled the size of the business and dramatically improved its profitability. Prior to CERA, he was President and Chief Operating Officer of Strategic Decisions Group (SDG), where he specialized in growth strategy, organizational transformation, and performance turnarounds. He founded the firm's Boston and Houston offices and has lived in many countries around the globe. He led an initial sale, MBO, and subsequent sale of SDG. His professional experience spans the life sciences, energy, high tech, financial services and manufacturing industries. Jim is an active angel investor, with investments in medical devices, business information, and high technology. Before joining SDG, he held planning and engineering positions at Analog Devices, Data General Corporation, and AT&T. Mr. Lang holds a BS summa cum laude in electrical and computer engineering from the University of New Hampshire and an MBA with Distinction from the Tuck School of Business, where he was named an Edward Tuck Scholar. Wally Buch, MD

Director

Director Wally Buch, MD has been an angel investor in many successful startup companies, including Neoforma (NEOF). He received his MD from Hahnemann University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and completed his internship and residency in General and Cardiovascular Surgery at Stanford University Hospital. He had a successful private practice in Cardiovascular and Thoracic Surgery at both Stanford University Hospital in Palo Alto and Sequoia Hospital in Redwood City for more than 25 years. He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Surgery and the American Board of Thoracic Surgery. Currently Wally is a Venture Partner at MedVentures, and a Director of 3 early stage companies.

David Southwell

Director

Director David Southwell is currently a partner at BioNevia Inc, an emerging specialty pharmaceutical company. He recently retired after fourteen years as Executive Vice President, Chief Financial Officer at Sepracor, Inc., a specialty pharmaceutical firm. During that time, Sepracor raised over $2 billion in financings, including equity and convertible offerings, as well as the spin-offs of Vicuron (sold to Pfizer), and Chirex (sold to Rhodia); grew in revenues from $18 million to approximately $1.4 billion; and ranged in market capitalization from $70 million to over $10 billion. He was also responsible for in-licensing US rights to Omnaris and Alvesco from Nycomed, and eslicarbazepine from Bial. He has appeared on CNBC, CNN, Bloomberg and other financial TV stations. Prior to Sepracor, David was an investment banker with Lehman Brothers from 1984 to 1986, and from 1988 to 1994. At Lehman Brothers, he was involved in mergers, acquisitions, principal investment opportunities, and debt and equity financings. David is Chairman of the Board of Biosphere Medical, Inc., and is on the boards of Human Genome Sciences, Inc, PTC Therapeutics Inc., and BioNevia Inc. In addition, he is head of the MBA Advisory Board of the Tuck School at Dartmouth College, and is on the Board of Overseers at Tuck

William J. Febbo

Chief Executive Officer

Mr. Febbo is responsible for developing and overseeing the overall strategic direction of MedPanel. Bringing more than 15 years experience in operations, sales, finance and manufacturing to the leadership of MedPanel, Mr. Febbo has worked for three Fortune 500 companies, specializing in business development, merger and acquisition and global technology transfer in Europe, Central Asia and South America. He was also instrumental in completing mergers and acquisitions in multiple industries, as well as bringing several start-ups to profitability. Currently, Mr. Febbo is a Director of MCF and also serves as Treasurer on the board of the United Nations of Greater Boston. He received his B.S. in international studies with a focus on economics and Spanish from Dickinson College.

Howard Brick

Chief Operations Officer

Mr. Brick is responsible for all research and operations at MedPanel. Prior to joining MedPanel, Mr. Brick spent five years at Case Shiller Weiss. While there, he served as Vice President of Business Development, Finance & Legal Affairs and was a member of the company's senior management team. Mr. Brick played a leadership role in Case Shiller Weiss' sale of itself to Fiserv, an S&P 500 company, in 2002. Prior to joining Case Shiller Weiss, Mr. Brick practiced law in Boston for 12 years, both in private practice and as an Assistant Attorney General with the Massachusetts Attorney General's Office. Mr. Brick holds a B.A. degree from Dartmouth College and received his Juris Doctor from Columbia University School of Law.
